Poly Droids
Poly Droids are small, biomechanical robots created by the Sollarian Empire and powered by the Integrated Technological Organ System (ITOS). Designed to resemble small animals—extant, extinct, or mythological—these advanced synthetic beings are covered in synthetic flesh, skin, and hair, making them appear highly lifelike despite their mechanical cores.
Similar to Borgs, Poly Droids serve as functional companions, tools, and machines, but unlike Borgs, they are smaller in scale. They are used for maintenance, medical aid, reconnaissance, information gathering, protection, and surveillance, making them highly adaptable for civilian, industrial, and military applications. Their organic appearance and intelligence allow them to blend seamlessly into natural and urban environments, making them ideal for covert operations, espionage, and infiltration.

1. ITOS-Powered Systems
Poly Droids are fully powered by ITOS, granting them biomechanical efficiency, adaptability, and autonomy.
Their exoframe is composed of flexible, flesh-like material over a reinforced mechanical skeleton, allowing for organic movement and durability.
They are equipped with self-diagnostic capabilities, allowing them to detect and repair internal damage when necessary.
2. Animalistic Behavior & Adaptation
Poly Droids are built to behave exactly like the creatures they replicate, utilizing neuromorphic AI to mimic movement, behavior, and instincts.
They can be programmed to learn from their environment, adapting their behavior over time for more lifelike interactions.
Some owners prefer their droids to act purely as machines, while others prefer more sentient, emotionally expressive models.
3. Modular Intelligence & Autonomous Operations
Poly Droids can function autonomously or under direct control, depending on their user’s needs.
Equipped with adaptive AI, they can make independent decisions, analyze complex situations, and respond accordingly.
Some models can recognize individuals, learning patterns, habits, and emotional cues to provide personalized interactions.
-
1. Reconnaissance & Surveillance
Equipped with advanced optical sensors, sound amplifiers, and stealth technology to monitor and infiltrate without detection.
Used by military and law enforcement for tracking, perimeter defense, and infiltration missions.
Can be programmed to follow specific individuals, tracking their location and behavior with absolute precision.
2. Medical Assistance & Emergency Response
Carry nanite injectors, first aid kits, and minor surgical tools for rapid medical intervention.
Can stabilize wounded individuals and provide real-time diagnostic feedback.
Certain models are programmed to extract injured individuals from dangerous environments.
3. Security & Combat Assistance
Some Poly Droids are outfitted with shock emitters, energy weapons, or defensive shields for combat and law enforcement.
Act as loyal guardians, programmed to detect, track, and eliminate threats before they can act.
Their animal-like behavior and appearance make them effective at deceiving intruders, allowing them to act as unexpected security enforcers.
4. Industrial Maintenance & Technical Support
Serve as self-repairing, network-integrated drones for machinery and system diagnostics.
Use microscopic tools and internal diagnostic software to identify and fix mechanical issues in real time.
Some models specialize in self-repair, allowing them to fix themselves when damaged.
5. Scientific Research & Exploration
Used for deep-sea, space, and hazardous terrain exploration, gathering biological and environmental data.
Function as long-term research assistants, monitoring ecosystems without disrupting native life.
Some are designed to study and document wildlife, blending into natural environments to observe without interference.

Poly Droids are powered by a Diamond Battery, providing near-limitless energy and eliminating the need for external refueling.
Their energy efficiency allows them to function indefinitely without the need for manual recharging, making them highly reliable in long-term operations.
Unlike other machines, Poly Droids do not consume or process materials for energy, relying solely on their internal Diamond Battery for sustained operation.
-
1. Susceptibility to EMP & Hacking
Their reliance on ITOS and AI-driven decision-making makes them vulnerable to electromagnetic pulses, hacking attempts, and AI corruption.
If compromised, a Poly Droid may become unresponsive or malfunction.
2. Structural Durability Constraints
Despite their reinforced frames, Poly Droids are not as durable as larger machines, making them more fragile under extreme combat conditions.

1. Civilian Companions & Assistants
Used as pets, emotional support animals, or household assistants, providing companionship and security.
Ideal for individuals seeking AI-driven companionship over traditional organic pets.
2. Military & Law Enforcement
Deployed as covert scouts, infiltrators, and security enforcers, capable of tracking, surveillance, and rapid response.
Some models are equipped with non-lethal incapacitation tools to subdue threats without lethal force.
3. Corporate & Industrial Security
Integrated into corporate defense systems, functioning as autonomous security monitors and enforcers.
Used in high-risk environments where organic personnel would be endangered.
